UAF Recreation Classes!

The Student Recreation Center (SRC)
Let’s face it, not every class during your college career is going to be fun or extremely captivating, which is why I always take a minimum of one recreation class a semester.  Recreation classes provide a scheduled fun time during your week.  They are low stress and allow you to interact with people outside of your major.  I've personally worked my way through beginning rock climbing, Zumba, aerobics, kickboxing, multi-fitness conditioning, and now military fitness (which is a 6am class that I would only recommend to chronic morning people).
The great thing about UAF Recreation Classes is that there are so many different types at such a variety of times that you are practically guaranteed to find one that fits into your busy schedule of school, homework, social life(?), campus activities, and naps.  In fact, not only will you be able to find a recreation class that fits into your daily schedule, you’d be hard put not to find one that you (most likely) are salivating to participate in.
Just to name some of the recreation classes you can choose from: swimming, scuba, water polo, Frisbee golf, rock climbing, ice climbing, kickboxing, yoga, Zumba, aerobics, billiards, lots of different dance classes, and many, many, more.  In fact, just thinking about all of these thrilling options has convinced me to purchase a punch card which allows students and non-students to drop in on the recreation classes offered at a very reduced price for a set number of classes.             And don’t worry about your skill status, UAF offers classes from the beginner level to the advanced level.  : )
